MINORITY WOMEN PROVIDING AN OPPORTUNITY TO EMPOWER YOUNG WOMEN

Chicago, IL, June 14, 2013: Young, Ambitious and Beautiful and Jane Thang Productions’ Strong, Empowered and Classy project collaborate to bring young women together to network and be empowered. On Saturday, June 22nd at 2:00pm at the DePaul Art Museum in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood minority women of various ages and walks of life will come together to inspire, encourage and offer young women the opportunity to ask them “How did you get where you are today?”.

According to a speech by President Obama (CNSNews), more women are graduating from college than men. This is astonishing and President Obama notes a great accomplishment. Women are finally striving and accomplishing more. This event will commend and showcase these women. It will also encourage other women to continue to strive.

As women graduate and take on the task of looking for work in today’s challenging economy, they need to be motivated. These young women need to know how to maintain their strength, empowerment and class. Panelist will include Entrepreneurs, MC’s, Marketing professionals, a life coach and educators. The panel will answer questions like; “What keeps you motivated? How did you know that you had chosen the right career? How do you maintain and balance a relationship and a career? There will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

The founder of Jane Thang Productions, Kristen Hayman and Young, Ambitious and Beautiful Co-Founder Courtney Griffin, said “This event is needed to encourage young women as they graduate and decide what they want to do with their life. More often than not people graduate not knowing what they want to do and in the case that they know what they want to do, they may not know how to pursue it.” The goal of this event is to lead these young women in the right direction. It is open to high school students, college students and college graduates.
