Pashay Adams Interview

Pashay Adams

Who are you?

My name is Pashay Adams. I am Strong, Empowered and Classy.

What do you do?

I am currently a full-time mom and a part-time employee.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about life and opportunities, both are taken for granted too often and in the blink of an eye both life and the opportunity of a lifetime can be taken away.

Strength refers to the quality or state of being strong; bodily or muscular power; vigor; mental power, force; moral power, firmness, courage; power by reason of influence, authority, resources, numbers, etc. What makes you strong? Tell us how it strengthens you.

My son makes me strong. Every since I brought another life into this world, I feel like super woman and I can accomplish anything. He gives me strength to stay focused, keep going and give my all. My actions determine what his future holds, so that makes me more strong minded than ever before and even more disciplined. Life is no longer about me and he will have a great one no matter what.

Empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social, educational, gender, or economic strength of individuals and communities. Where does your sense of empowerment derive from?

My sense of  empowerment comes from my environment. Everyday I meet somebody new. Different races, cultures, backgrounds and beliefs. It empowers me to be a better person so the people in my community can become better. No matter what I am going through, I always smile and I am always full of laughter. If I could pass on to the universe that life is much more enjoyable when you’re happy, I would. When I give a smile, you get one. You could make someones’ day and not even know it. We as people would be much stronger if more of us realized we have to live in the moment. Don’t let your inner body weakness take away from your outer body happiness.

Classy refers to being elegant, stylish; having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior; admirably skillful and graceful. How important is it to maintain a sense of class in your life or field?

Pashay AdamsIt is very important to me to maintain a sense of class in life as well as in my field. In my field,  because I was always taught that no matter what type of job you have always look your best and professional. You never know when an opportunity will walk in and take you from making minimum wage to millions. In life, because a woman who carries herself with class always wins. You never know whose paying attention to detail. I love to look nice and walk like I’m owning it, but also keeping it very humble. To me, if you carry yourself well you will get a lot further in life. I also want to be an example of the type of girl my son should be interested in and how high her standards should be. There is nothing better than a woman who is beautiful, humble and classy!

Life is truly a journey. Are you proud of where and who you are right now? Why?

Life is truly a journey. I am very proud of the person that I’ve become and my purpose in life right now. If I sat down and wrote a list of the things I’ve been through in my college years alone, I’d be writing for days. I have been through some horrific times and I managed to get through them all and still stand here today as the woman and mother that I am. It is amazing how one moment in your life you go from wanting to die to feeling like u have all the reasons in the world to live. The day I had my son, I felt like I was born all over again, like my life had just begun. I am the happiest I’ve ever been and no matter what challenges are thrown my way, I will never be defeated. He’s the blessing that allowed me to wake up and get me together. Although I am a work in progress, I thank God for my son and second chances.

If you had the opportunity to speak for the masses, what would you say?

I would simply say….
Life to me is a journey
No matter what you do or where you go
Always remember to stay true to who you are
And keep people on their toes
Dot every I
Cross every T
Never take it for granted
For each day is a mystery
The past can’t be erased
So only make moves if your heart is in it
If you make a few mistakes, it’s okay, your entitled to it
But when u wake up look at the new day as a new beginning…
