Who are you?

My name is Sherane Heron and I am, Strong, Empowered and Classy.

What do you do?

I am an Entrepreneur, College Professor and [soon-to-be- Author]. I own Sherane’s Vintage Closet, an online boutique that specializes in vintage statement pieces.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about inspiring others to walk in their purpose through the arts. I love using my gifts in fashion, multi-media, writing, teaching and speaking to empower, educate and equip visionaries. In addition, Im passionate about helping others turn their pain into beauty.

Strength refers to the quality or state of being strong; bodily or muscular power; vigor; mental power, force; moral power, firmness, courage; power by reason of influence, authority, resources, numbers, etc. What makes you strong? Tell us how it strengthens you.

I have experienced God’s perfect strength in every weakness so I must give credit to my Lord and Savior. His power has strengthened me through the most painful times in my life, for that reason- God has made me strong. Every battle fought in the past has strengthened me with wisdom, knowledge and understanding of how to operate effectively in my purpose today.

Empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social, educational, gender, or economic strength of individuals and communities. Where does your sense of empowerment derive from?

My sense of empowerment births from my relationship with God and then overflows through my gifts. One phrase that I always say/write is “opportunity ALWAYS meets overflow”. In order for me to empower others, I must be empowered. I must be filled with so much inspiration, knowledge and wisdom that it has no choice but to flow out of me. My professional life is only an extension of my personal life so therefore- empowerment starts with my personal relationship with Christ.

Classy refers to being elegant, stylish; having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior; admirably skillful and graceful. How important is it to maintain a sense of class in your life or field?

It is very important to maintain a sense of class. It all begins internally and eventually it will overflow externally. While we all have different preferences in style and our own personalities- class begins with confidence. When someone lacks class, its a clear indication that they lack confidence, which causes them to fall beneath their full potential in every area of life- personally and professionally.

Life is truly a journey. Are you proud of where and who you are right now? Why?

Yes, I am very proud of where I am right now. Although I’ve had many “bumps in the road” – I feel like I am 100% in my purpose and that is the most fulfilling place anyone can be. No person, place or thing can cause you to feel 100% fulfilled like your purpose will.

If you had the opportunity to speak to the masses, what would you say?

Purpose begins with your relationship with Christ. During your seasons of confusion, darkness or etc- fill up with the word of God and eventually His glory will overflow through your gifts. That is the only way to be effective when operating in your purpose. Your gift has the opportunity to inspire, heal and impact lives when its channeled through Christ.
