#UpgradingMyself: Becoming One With God
“Excuse me miss?”, I hear a man cry out as I was strutting and giving life on the sidewalk this morning as I headed into work. I turn my head towards the street to see who’s calling me and I see a beautiful young white man with a golden tan, a hipster baseball cap and cool tattoos on his arms; stopping his bicycle to talk to me. “I just want to tell you that you look so beautiful and I mean that with the utmost respect. What is your name?” i reply “Kristen” and we shake hands. “I’m Chevas (I really don’t remember what he said his name was. I do know I kept saying it wrong and he kept repeating it. lol smh My goofy self! He gave me an example that his name is similar to a revolutionary’s name but I didn’t catch that either. “I just wanted to stop and tell you that, just to let you know that we are not all a$# holes. Have a good day”. “Well, I appreciate that”, I grinned and yelled back as he started to take off on his bike. He smiled and said, “Peace”. I continued strutting down the street with a little extra bounce to my step. I don’t care how many compliments I get in a week, I appreciate every one. It really does feel good.
Yesterday I picked up a book that gave me something to meditate on. I am working on intentionally becoming one with God and exploring the gold mine within. I’m praying and expecting happiness, health, and prosperity. I’m seeking the good and what’s right in every situation, no matter what the circumstances are. I’m practicing my faith and walking in Truth. I’m exuding God’s love and His beauty too. If you are bringing negativity over to me, you have the wrong one today because God is not negative and I am one with Him! Seek Love. Seek Joy. Seek Peace. Let’s get it! The funny thing is that this guy had barely seen my face before he decided to call me beautiful. I’d like to think it was my energy and the light of God that made him comfortable enough to say something. I was talking to God while I was strutting and I do remember having a smile on my face. I know this post is going to go over somebody’s head but just know that this is my reflection as I bare witness to the blessings that fall upon you when you are obedient and active in your faith in God. It’s the little things. Keep pushing people and stay positive! All of the love that you put out, comes right back to you! 🙂
