Liberty C. Bell Interview
Who are you?
My name is Liberty C. Bell. I am, Strong, Empowered and Classy.
What do you do?
I am a “Jack” of all trades in the world of entertainment. I am an entertainer, an actress, model, and television host. Right now, I have a few projects and appearances at a Jane Thang Productions event on June 22nd, BET Awards 2013, Miss Michigan Pageant in September 2013, and a few film festivals while being an advocate and working closely with developing “Liberty Loves Literacy Foundation”.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about life. The key to life as a journey is acting in excellence in all things you do. I am passionate about going above and beyond all expectations. I am passionate about literacy and learning, and exploring. Being passionate about something drives me to go above and beyond what I don’t know and allows me to come to a new conclusion of what I find. Most importantly I am so passionate about life every minute and every second; showing the world, and sharing through your eyes, my vision.
Strength refers to the quality or state of being strong; bodily or muscular power; vigor; mental power, force; moral power, firmness, courage; power by reason of influence, authority, resources, numbers, etc. What makes you strong? Tell us how it strengthens you.
My strength is so beyond physical but a mental capacity that comes from within. I believe that you are not born with a dream, but a desire of the heart. The heart in which causes you to fulfill a destiny. We live in a world that is reachable and accessible through technology, which I believe is very attainable. By any means necessary, you have to connect to those resources by networking, making a phone call, sending an e-mail, a facebook message, or a text. Have the courage to never give up. Tell yourself, you can, and you will.
Empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social, educational, gender, or economic strength of individuals and communities. Where does your sense of empowerment derive from?
God of the Universe, the desire of the heart, and knowing God for yourself. Being in a personal relationship with a higher power that guides you. Intuition…My political views…I believe in “the power of the people” Life in itself is a lesson. I believe you have to listen adequately. Patience is a crucial piece so listen to learn and learn to listen. Literacy is so powerful, education in itself equates to your social economic background. Being relatable.
Classy refers to being elegant, stylish; having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior; admirably skillful and graceful. How important is it to maintain a sense of class in your life or field?
People often admire my skill to network; my skill to connect with individuals of all backgrounds. I believe to be one, understand one…but live within your life, your destiny.
Life is truly a journey. Are you proud of where and who you are right now? Why?
I am proud of the woman I’m becoming. Why?…because of where I am. Most 22 year olds where I come from, can’t say they have excelled in half or maintained as much as I during this hard journey. I still have a long way to go. Pure like Gold still doesn’t make you perfect.
If you had the opportunity to speak for the masses, what would you say?
“I can’t live your life for you, but I can show you the world through my eyes.”
